The eternal bachelor Simon Cowell finally succumbs to the eternal vow with Lauren Silverman. The 62-year old “America’s Got Talent” celebrity, Simon Cowell finally gets engaged to his long-time girlfriend Lauren Silverman. According to the news, Cowell proposed to Silverman on Christmas Eve in Barbados, where they originally met. Cowell proposed to his 44-year-old girlfriend while walking on the beach, reports said.

The tycoon, who previously called marriage “boring,” secretly proposed to Lauren, his long-term girlfriend, on Christmas Eve, putting showbiz’s last confirmed bachelor off the market.

The pair went public with their relationship in 2013 after Lauren announced her pregnancy with his child, Eric. Cowell, known to be a harsh critic as a judge, apparently became softer after the birth of his son, Eric.

He reaffirmed his love for his future wife, calling Silverman his “rock,” during his 2018 Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.

Cowell also had an engagement with Mezhgan Hussainy, which he broke up in 2012. When news of her pregnancy with Eric surfaced, Cowell and Silverman kept most of their relationship out of the spotlight.

Andrew Silverman told The Observer in March 2014 that learning about Cowell and Silverman’s relationship was “a fascinating experience, surprising and upsetting.” Lauren finalized her divorce from Andrew Silverman in 2013 in New York.

In February 2014, Cowell and Silverman welcomed their first child, Eric. The 62-year-old TV celebrity expressed his joy with a series of tweets about the joyous occasion. He characterized his baby boy as “healthy and gorgeous” and stated that the new mom was in “excellent form.”
